tis General English & Examination Courses
TIS General English courses are designed to help you achieve fluency, accuracy and confidence but, above all, to help you communicate effectively.
Key features include:-
A choice of 18, 23 or 30*hours* tuition per week (1 tuition hour = 60 minutes)
Classes take place from Monday to Friday inclusive
Class size - maximum 10 students per class with maximum 12 per class in July/August
Average class size 6-8 in winter and 8-9 in summer
Multi-national classes
Use of TIS course books and tuition materials
Reduced prices for long-stay students
Minimum age 16 years - but please note average age range is 20 to 45
Levels – Elementary to Advanced
Course length – from 2 weeks to 1 year
Start dates – almost every Monday throughout the year
Exam courses for IELTS, FCE, CAE, CPE, TOEIC, TOEFL
Level Test on the first Monday and regular testing thereafter

5 mornings from 0900 to 1230 and Tuesday afternoon from 1330 to 1600. 2 weeks or longer
5 mornings and 3 afternoons on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The additional 5 hours on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons enable you to choose from a range of options or special focus courses such as Communication Skills, Business, Examination Preparation (IELTS and others), Literature, Introduction to Law and others when available.2 weeks or longer
Preparation for IELTS, FCE, CAE, CPE, TOEIC, TOEFL and BEC - the Cambridge Business English Certificate. 3 weeks or longer.
This is a full day course with General English classes in the mornings and mini-group Business classes every afternoon from Monday to Friday inclusive. 1, 2, 3 or 4 weeks.
This programme is for people who want a very intensive morning course to help them make rapid progress. The course is 15 hours per week (3 hours each morning Monday to Friday inclusive) and with a maximum of 4 students per class. 1, 2, 3 or 4 weeks
