How to get here
Torquay is on the South West Coast of England - our area is known as the English Riviera and is famous for its Torbay Palm trees and wonderfully mild climate.
Torquay is within easy reach of London and the main air and ferry ports from where there are fast and efficient links by road and rail.
By Air:
If you are flying to England then we recommend that you book a flight that arrives in the morning or early afternoon and departs in the afternoon or early evening. London Heathrow is the most convenient airport at which to arrive. www.heathrowairport.com. You can catch the heathrow express train www.heathrowexpress.com to Paddington and then catch a connecting train to Torquay. If you arrive into Gatwick airport you can catch the gatwick express train www.gatwickexpress.com to Paddington station and then a connecting train to Torquay.

Local airports are situated at Bristol www.bristolairport.co.uk, Exeter www.exeter-airport.co.uk and Plymouth www.plymouthairport.co.uk. There are now several international flights to Bristol every day and some to Exeter. Flights to Bristol and Exeter are operated by British Airways, Easyjet, Flybe and Ryanair.

By Coach:
Coaches from London Victoria, London Gatwick and London Heathrow leave several times daily for Torquay and are reasonably priced. We can book seats in advance, if you wish, which is advisable in the summer. Please click the link to www.nationalexpress.com for more information.

We will help you if you need any travel advice.

Getting to the Homestay
Homestay hosts will meet students at the railway or coach station in Torquay BUT only if they have been notified of the arrival time. There are always taxis at both stations. Students making private travel arrangements must notify their homestay of their arrival as far in advance as possible. This is the only way to guarantee that there will be someone at your homestay when you arrive.
